The Greatest Love.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.This talks clearly about his great love. God planned to bring us back to himself. In a world ruled by principalities and other evil forces; this love comes to save, transform, sanctify and deliver us from the path of destruction.

God’s love is sacrificial. He offered his only Son for the world to be saved. Jesus Christ came to restore us. He came to light up a world full of darkness and so much evil. That we may be liberated and know the truth. So that our works may be dependent on God and divinely propelled by his love.

Love with a prize: God’s love is outstanding, it’s phenomenal. No love can compare to this. Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. He was nailed on the cross for our sake. He was pierced, bruised for our iniquities, suffered the punishment on our behalf which brought us peace and healing through his stripes.

The depths of God’s love has qualified us to share in his inheritance. Hence through faith, we have been made partakers of his divine promises. Which is affirmed in Christ Jesus through salvation. Our assurance of hope in him.

God’s love knows no boundaries. It extends and reaches to all who believe in Him. Psalm 108:4 For Your lovingkindness is great and higher than the heavens. There is no Jew or Gentile in God. Jesus reached out to the Samaritan woman at Sychar who came to draw water. He disclosed to her God’s love and gift to all mankind. She genuinely accepted and was transformed.

God’s love is unconditional. His love is free for all. Whereas human love has conditions and regulations. It’s wanting and never satisfied. Delilah loved Samson because of what she could get from him. Her selfish ambition caused his downfall.

God’s love qualifies. Moses was a stammerer when God called him. In regards to human beings, a stammerer would not qualify for any leadership position. But God qualified him to be a deliverer. The demon-possessed woman would be disqualified for Christ’s ministry but God’s love qualifies all. Human’s set standards for the people they love. E.g. A man/woman of caliber, who has a particular rank on a specific job, owns possessions, resides at a certain place and the list goes on and on.

God’s love has no distinction. No one is better than the other in the Kingdom of God. He doesn’t gift us individually because he prefers one person to the other. No! He loves us all equally and his grace is sufficient. But human love is envious of other people’s achievements. It prefers one to another based on their exploits.

God’s love keeps no records of wrongs.

His love has forgiven our past, present, even our future sins. We are freed from the guilt of all things. Since we have been purchased not by something perishable but by his precious blood, we are pardoned and our eternity is insured. This love qualified David to be a man after God’s heart. Regardless of his shortcomings, when he repented God forgave him.

As human beings, our love is limited. It’s envious of others, it’s self-seeking. Has conditions. If there’s a wronging then it hates. Doesn’t forgive easily. It is not guaranteed.

God’s greatest love cannot be measured or compared to any other. So deep to comprehend, too wide to measure and never-ending. Jesus is the guarantor of this amazing love.

This love carries weight and so much power to change and transform our lives. God saved the children of Israel from captivity in Egypt. Therefore has come to save us from the devil’s prowls. From all distress and trouble. The love that protects us. The surest love that has no limitations.

God has poured out his love to fill our hearts, therefore it is upon us to accept this love graciously. The way to receive this love is by simply confessing with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believing in your heart that God raised him from the dead. Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation. Through this, you can enjoy God’s limitless love and eternal life.
