Joshua succeeded a great servant of God Moses and his commission was to bring the Israelites from Jordan to the promised land. He had seen all the challenges Moses encountered but God told him to be strong and courageous. To know that he was with him.
Joshua 1:9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
In all Joshua did God gave him victory.
Sometimes when faced with challenges in life we think that God has left us, that is why things aren’t working out as expected. Even in the challenges, he is right there with you. Working out things for you. Preparing the way. He is in the midst of it all. Watching over you, strengthening you.
Remember the story of Hannah, even in her trying times God never abandoned her. He was right there even when Peninah was insulting her. He was there preparing for her future. Working on her behalf for his glory. Who knew she could give birth to such a mighty prophet, Samuel who led God’s people for generations?
Esther was an orphan girl who was raised by her uncle Mordecai. She never knew in the midst of her struggles one day she would become a queen. Representing the Jews which lead to their preservation.
So in the midst of the daily issues we face, let us know that God is working things for our good. We won’t remain in the same situation forever. He is molding us to become all he called us to be. The word says, those who wait on the Lord he shall renew their strength and they shall soar on eagles wings.
